Hello! (Said in Robin Williams Mrs. Doubtfire voice while whipped cream is all over his face).
This past week I had some fun making some bags with patterns y’all have already seen but I wanted to give the fabric and hardware used some love!
The first remake is one of my favorite patterns- The Double Clutch Crossbody by Spencer Ogg. So much so that I made TWO! The first is made out of this stunning fabric from HAPA Fabrics called “Bake Someone Happy.” This bag is for a dear friend of mine who fell in love with this print (and rightly so!)
I decided to use my coveted Cracked Disco Nights vinyl from My PunkBroidery since it’s so magical! All the hardware (minus the rivets which are from Joann) is from Wizardry Stitchery & Crafts. For the strap I used a royal blue waterproof canvas which I found at Wal-mart (I know who would’ve thunk!). This bag is gonna get some serious love!
The second double clutch I made was in this awesome stacked Disney character print from Joann (white vinyl is also from Joann) and it just makes me want to sport it right down the middle of Main Street USA! I also used waterproof canvas in red for the strap- I love how it’s so durable and doesn’t need interfacing!
My Zipper tape on this beauty is fromWizardry Stitchery & Crafts, pulls are from Zor-Elle Fabrics and swivel hooks are from Amazon since my package with hardware decided to go on vacation before it got to me 😂🤦🏻♀️.
I love these so so much!
The last remix remake I made was the Fanny Pack/Bum Bag from Proper Fit Clothing. The difference between this one and the previous one I made is this one is the full size and the last was at 80%. This adorable Stitch fabric was my first purchase from Stitch-N-Fabrics and certainly not my last! Let’s take a minute to appreciate this AMAZING Stitch webbing and Zipper pull from Mojo’s Loom Knits. Ahhhhh this seriously makes this Fanny pack in my opinion and I NEED MORE! Again my zipper tape is from Wizardry Stitchery & Crafts and I used that red waterproof canvas for the lining to give the.bag structure without having to use foam in between. I hope the new owner loves it as much as I do!
So those were my sewing adventures the last few days! This was all just fabric and hardware before, and now they are amazing statement pieces! That is the most magical thing and is always so much fun! Till next time!
